I don’t have my sh*t together

There are some days when I am on fire.

To-do’s getting ticked off with incredible efficiency.

I’m whipping up healthy meals and drinking my 2 litres of water a day.

I’m happily at inbox-zero.

My Instagram is a thing of beauty.

My life is imbued with a sense of zen-like calm and focus…anxiety

But then there are other days when I just definitely do not have my sh*t together.

I’ve been known to nap on the sofa at 2pm when I’ve had a book deadline (#procrastination.)

I’ve stayed home when I’ve had tickets to a gig because I couldn’t face the world that day.

And I’ve had days when I’ve been so crazy-busy that I haven’t had a chance to shower or get dressed.

So, yeah, there are definitely days when I just don’t have my sh*t together.

But you know what? I think it’s ok.

With Spring time arriving here in the UK and the first of the blossoms appearing on the trees, I’m reminded that life is all about cycles.

In nature, nothing blooms all the time.

There are seasons, changes, rising and falling. And it’s the same with us. Sometimes we’re ahead, sometimes behind.

Sometimes we’re on our A-game – other times we’re a hot mess.

So let’s go easy on ourselves, eh? If you’re going through a tough time right now, remember that Spring will come back around and you will bloom again.

Now, I think it would be inspiring and reassuring for us all to share at least ONE way that you haven’t got your sh*t together this week. Let us know in the comments below – and reassure us all that we are not alone!

*The inspiration for this post came from this woman who shared about the idea of ‘I haven’t got my sh*t together Tuesday’. Check her out.

I spent the morning in bed today and slept so I must have needed it.
So why did I feel guilty?
Thanks for your words,I totally get you.

I had a completely non nutritious and unhealthy meal tonight followed by a big bag of crisps for the first time in AGES after the most tiring week at work
